ParikshaBangla (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the online competitive examination preparation portal at parikshabangla.in. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of every student preparing for West Bengal state and central competitive examinations. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you register via Email or Google Sign-In, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, target examination preference, and home district in West Bengal.
- Examination & Practice Data: We record your mock test attempts, selected answers, time spent per question, accuracy metrics, and percentile scores so we can generate your diagnostic reports and state rank predictions.
- Payment Metadata: All payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We do not store your credit/debit card numbers, UPI PINs, or net banking credentials on our servers. We only store the transaction reference ID, order ID, and unlocked pass status.
3. Webcam Proctoring & Camera Permission
During full-length CBT mock tests, ParikshaBangla requests browser camera permission to simulate authentic examination hall conditioning. Your webcam video feed is rendered 100% locally inside your browser and is never recorded, transmitted, or stored on any external server. Once you submit or exit the examination tab, the camera stream is immediately terminated.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To provide personalized CBT mock tests, chapter practice drills, and subject-wise weak-area analytics.
- To compute anonymized state-wide and district-level leaderboard rankings across West Bengal.
- To send important transactional updates such as payment receipts, pass activation confirmations, and password reset codes.
- To maintain platform security and prevent automated scraping or unauthorized account sharing.
5. Data Security & Retention
All student data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and stored securely on Cloudflare infrastructure. You may request modification or complete deletion of your account and test history at any time by contacting our support team.
